Marco Langbroek, Leiden, The Netherlands, combined several images taken between 8 and 29 November 2007 with a Canon Digital Ixus 400 at maximum zoom to show the slow movement of 17P through Perseus past Mirfak aka α Persei. It also nicely shows the increasing size, and decreasing surface brightness. |

3D-image by Albert van Duin, Beilen, The Netherlands. He combined two sets of images obtained on the evening of 17 November 2007 with a modified Canon 350D, set at ISO800, through a 20-cm f/2.75 ASA astrograph to create this 3D impression. The first set was made around 19:30 UT, the second set around 21:50 UT. |
