The following set of fine images of this comet in outburst was obtained by
New Zealanders Ian Cooper and Noel Munford.
The first image shows the comet on February 3, 2002, around 15h45m UT.
They used a 400mm f/6.3 lens and Fuji NHG II 800 film for this 6m exposure.
The next couple of images was taken on February 6, around 15h40m UT.
The first image is a 20m exposure with 400mm f/6.3 lens on Fuji NHG II 800 film,
the second ia a 20m exposure through a 30-cm f/7 reflector on Fuji P 800 film.
The following set of images was taken on February 9, around 15h30m UT.
The first image is a 10m exposure with the 400mm lens, the second a 5m exposure
with a 50mm f/2.8 lens, both on Fuji NHG II 800 film.
For comparison they produced a composite of the latter image with one showing
1P/Halley on 18 March 1986, around 16h45m UT (15m exposure on Agfa 1000).
No guessing which one was the better of the two!
